My Thoughts:

First off I would like to thank Netgalley for the e-arc. This was one of my most anticipated books of the year and I loved it so much. I actually already did a reread I was so excited to experience the story again.  There were many aspects of the story I love like romance, characters, representation, and the hockey aspect. I thought the dual point of view helped the story unfold and the reader got to see different aspects of the characters.

Ren is a cinnamon roll and I loved him so much. He is a hockey player but also a huge Shakespear nerd. He is such a kind, caring, and genuine character. Ren has had feelings for Frankie for years but can’t tell her because she is the social media manager for his team. This is where the slow burn romance comes to play and how their relationship developed.

Frankie is the social media manager for the team who has a tough exterior and is cynical. She is soft-hearted but doesn’t let many see that. Frankie deals with chronic pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis. There is also #ownvoices representation with Frankie who is autistic.

I loved their relationship and how slowly it developed. It is obvious that both of them have feelings for each other. The romance felt realistic to me and I really enjoyed it. It was such a fun read and I will reread it again.
