My thoughts:
This was a book I did not know if I wanted to read. But was pleasantly how much I loved the book. I cannot wait to read the rest of the author’s books. I may have found a new favorite author. Her writing style is amazing and so easy to read. I cannot wait to read the sequel to this book.
The characters were so amazing and I loved the dual perspective. Enne and Levi both were so multi-faceted and have both perspectives moved the story along. Enne was a strong character who knew what she had to do. Levi had motives and is not someone she could trust at first.
The plot was so different than what I usually read. I almost did not read it cause it was set in a casino. That aside I gave it a chance and I loved it. It was fast-paced and a page-turner. It was hard to put down and I could not wait to see what happened next. The setting was also amazing and full of detail. The author is so good at world building.
I highly recommend this book and cannot wait till the sequel. Even if you think it might not be the genre you usually read. Go read this book.
